Myth 1: The hair will grow faster if you trim it regularly

The fact: Hair grows about 5 cm per month, either it is trimmed or not. Trimming regularly can help the supply of nutrients to the rest of the hair shaft, and the damaged hair ends will not hamper the delivery of nutrients. Indeed the regular trimming will make your hair look neat and healthier, but it won’t make your hair grow faster.

Myth 2: Stress can cause hair loss

The fact: Stress may indeed increase the amount of hair loss each day. But don’t worry, with the intensive and appropriate hair care, you can restore the fertility of the hair. If you are experiencing excessive hair loss, don’t wait too long, visit the doctor or hair care center to get appropriate hair treatment.

Myth 3: Changing shampoos will make your hair healthier

The fact: Wrong, if you’ve found the right shampoo for your hair, let the shampoo provides maximum care to your hair. Too often change shampoos will only confuse you in determining which product that really gives good care to your hair.

Myth 4: Repeal gray hair will trigger other gray hairs to grow in the same place

The fact: Repeal gray hair will not trigger the other gray hairs to grow in the same place. However if you don’t do it carefully, the repeal may leave scars and irritation on the scalp.

Myth 5: Straight hair is innate

The fact: True, but along with the growth of a person, the hair texture can also change. Some things such as pregnancy, medication, chemotherapy, or age can also change the hair texture in a fairly short time.

Myth 6: To clean your hair, you should wash your hair with shampoo twice

The fact: Under certain conditions it is true, for example you used hairspray or a hairbrush before, but in everyday conditions it’s better to use shampoo only once. Massage the scalp and hair evenly so the hair will be clean and healthy. Excessive use of shampoo will cause dray hair.

Myth 7: Rinse your hair with cold water will make it shiny

The fact: Actually there is no connection between the cold water with shiny hair. Rinsing hair with cold water is usually done to prevent dry hair due to the lack of moisture. However, to get shiny hair requires more treatment than just washing your hair with cold water.

Myth 8: Coloring your hair will cause hair damage

The fact: The high quality products that have been circulating in the market have gone through trusted tests. They also add some ingredients to maintain the health of your hair. Just make sure you consult to your hair stylist first before coloring your hair. Choose a high quality hair dye product to prevent damage to your hair.

Myth 9: Hair branching can be cured

The fact: Hair branching can’t be cured; the only way to cope this problem is by trimming the hair regularly. The hair care products are used to prevent the spread of more hair branching, but not to cure it.

Myth 10: Smoking can cause the early emergence of gray hair

The fact: Yes, smoking can increase the growth of gray hair earlier than the non-smokers. Even in some cases, smoking can lead to excessive hair loss.
